What should I expect when getting dentures?

Prior to getting fitted for dentures, Dr. Abtahi takes digital scans of your mouth. If implant-supported dentures are right for you, she surgically implants metal posts within your jaw to support dentures. After a period of healing, a lab creates new custom-fit dentures. Dr. Abtahi makes sure your dentures fit properly, or permanently secures fixed dentures in place.

How should I care for my new dentures?

Dentures are long-lasting when you care for them properly. Use a denture cleaning solution for removable dentures. Brush dentures at least twice daily and see the Your Community Smile team for routine cleanings and dental exams. Avoid chewing on hard objects or opening packages with your teeth.
